We follow Sylvia, Jon, and Cliff as they journey through the mysterious bayous of Louisiana. Sylvia has officially joined the hunting crew. Together, they confront new monsters, along with unlikely allies and enemies. I cannot get enough of the dynamic between Sylvia and Jon. You could say they are the epitome of star-crossed lovers. Those astral plane scenes… well, if you know, you know!
As a Dean girl myself, I find Cliff's character endlessly intriguing. He is perfectly sarcastic and broody but reveals a soft spot for Sylvia, which is explored further in this book. The growth of each character is commendable. Their complex relationships are intricately woven into the plot, creating a rich tapestry of interactions. Trust me; I wasn't bored for a second!
